BIO 1963 Started work at Vospers (Builders of fast craft from patrol boats to the odd raceboat) as a boatbuilder apprentice before graduating to the drawing office.
1972 Moved to Don Shead`s design office where I stayed till early retirement in 2003.Always been interested in photographing marine subjects from Ocean Liners,Warships,Yachts,Tall Ships and of course raceboats. Obtained a telephoto lens back in 1966,shooting colour slides, long before a lot of people bothered to shoot in colour and certainly not with telephotos.hence my having pics of White Tornado in 1969. Also made Super 8 colour films in the early 70`s,and from these copied the cockpit details of Red Tornado (White Tornado`s sistership) Always archived raceboat reports since early 60`s and from these further details for White Tornado were obtained. All the above archiving now on www.powerboatarchive2.co.uk
